“You Never Cheat on the Person You Love,” Says Catherine Paiz in Emotional Interview

Catherine Paiz, the popular YouTuber known for her role in the ACE Family channel, has finally opened up about the heartbreak and betrayal that led to her separation from Austin McBroom. In a raw and emotional interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Paiz shared intimate details about the infidelity that shattered their marriage — and the strength it took to walk away.

After years of internet speculation and whispered rumors, Catherine confirmed what many suspected: Austin McBroom cheated — and not just once.

A Perfect Picture Cracked by Lies

The ACE Family, launched in 2016, gave fans an inside look at the picture-perfect lives of Catherine, Austin, and their three children — Alaïa, Elle, and Steel. Behind the viral challenges and heartwarming vlogs, though, Catherine says she was silently battling doubts and denial.

“There were signs,” she admitted. “But when you’re in love and raising a family together, you don’t want to believe the worst.” The couple tied the knot in secret in 2017, made their marriage public in 2020, and called it quits in early 2024.

The Message That Changed Everything

Catherine recounted a defining moment during their daughter’s haircut. Her phone had died, so she used Austin’s phone to capture the moment — and that’s when a suspicious message popped up.

The Pain of Knowing (and Not Knowing)

“I was pregnant, there were cameras rolling, and I just froze,” she said. “He snatched the phone and deleted the message before I could fully read it. But that was the moment my heart sank.”

Catherine confessed that she knew of “at least three” women Austin was involved with, though headlines claimed the number was as high as 20. While she never saw the viral YouTube video posted by a makeup artist who exposed Austin’s behavior during a trip to Miami, friends told her enough to make the truth unavoidable.

“He always brushed it off — ‘It’s just gossip, don’t react,’ he’d say. And I didn’t, because I trusted him,” she revealed.

Austin Finally Admits to Cheating

For years, Austin avoided directly acknowledging his infidelity. That changed in 2025 when Catherine released the first chapter of her memoir, Dolores: My Journey Home.

In a 31-minute Snapchat video, Austin finally admitted, “I 100% stepped out of my marriage.” He claimed Catherine always knew, even suggesting she told him, “Just don’t make me look dumb.” Catherine firmly denied that.

“I would never say that,” she said. “You never cheat on the person you love.”

Hearing Austin finally admit the truth was, for Catherine, a bittersweet moment of closure: “I wasn’t going crazy. I waited years just to hear those words.”

Raising Kids with Integrity

Despite the public heartbreak, Catherine’s focus remains on her children. She wants them to grow up knowing the value of love, honesty, and respect.

“I’ll make sure my kids know — cheating is never okay,” she said. “You don’t hurt the person you love and call it a mistake. Love doesn’t work like that.”

A New Chapter Begins

Now in a new relationship and promoting her memoir, Catherine is healing — not just from betrayal, but from years of emotional confusion and public speculation. With courage and clarity, she’s reclaiming her narrative.

“I was silent for too long,” she said. “But now, I’m telling my story — my truth — and I hope it helps others feel less alone.”
